Empowering Institutions. Advancing Education. Transforming Africa.

An African firm building the institutions that fund African education.

We are advisors, strategists, and engineers. We help universities and foundations turn alumni relationships, philanthropy, and well-governed endowments into a durable foundation for African higher education.

Our Story

Founded on a simple conviction.

Education Advancement Support Services (EASS) Limited is a Nigeria-headquartered advisory and technology firm focused on closing the funding gap in African higher education. We help institutions move from one-off appeals to compounding, mission-aligned capital.

The next leap in African higher education will not come from government appropriations alone. It will come from the deliberate cultivation of alumni, diaspora, philanthropic, and corporate capital.
What we believe

Five operating principles.

Compounding over one-offs

The goal is not the next campaign — it is the next twenty years of compounding income. We design for the long arc.

Governance is a moat

Donors give to institutions they trust. Trust is built through transparent governance, clear policies, and disciplined reporting.

Alumni are not an ATM

Engagement first, money second. Lifetime relationships outperform transactional appeals every time.

Technology multiplies people

A small advancement team with the right CRM and journeys outperforms a large team running on spreadsheets.

Africa-specific, world-class

We adapt global standards (UPMIFA, IPS discipline) to African legal, currency, and cultural realities.

Outcomes are visible

Funds raised, donors retained, endowment market value, payout ratio — we instrument every engagement.

Leadership

From the founder.

The principles that built EASS — and the conviction that brought it to Africa.

Founder & CEO

Babatunde Ijiyemi

"African universities have everything they need to fund themselves for the next century — talented alumni, generous diaspora, and a philanthropic class coming of age. What is missing is the discipline that converts those assets into compounding institutional capital. EASS exists to build that discipline."

Babatunde Ijiyemi founded EASS Limited to help African universities build world-class institutional advancement. With experience across strategy, finance, and education in African and international markets, he advises on fundraising strategy, board governance, endowment development, and technology implementation.

He is the creator of Konnect Fundraising and Alumni engagement applications designed to help institutions build and sustain giving communities at scale. A long-time member of CASE, he brings over fifteen years of exposure to U.S. advancement best practices, applied to the African context.

His work spans leading Nigerian institutions and global diaspora networks, anchored in a clear belief: the future of African universities will be shaped by those that build disciplined, trust-driven, and technology-enabled funding models beyond tuition and government support..
